... it's a 2 w. d. with an auto. Is there anything in particular to look out for. It's got 165k on it but it's super clean and drives and handles smooth. The guy on the lot has been driving it around some cause he says it gets 22 m. pg. He picked it to drive instead of a 2000 silverado with a 8. 1,go figure ;) . I've got him down to $4200. Some people think 165k is a lot of miles, but we know better than that don't we;) . It would be nice to have 2 C. T. D. s in the driveway. Also how about bombing suggestions :D :D . Thanks,Doug

It's just getting broken in!Oo. Sounds like a pretty good deal. the fuel mileage sounds about right.

Bombing-

exhaust, gauges, pump turn up and tiiming, injectors, turbo housing.

In addition to paccool's comments, that auto trans will need help at some time. See sig below for one approach.

I had an 89 2WD for 5 years, great machine!!

-->Main problem is the front end. Check the tires for inside wear or uneven wear on the edges, the ball joints in these things usually only last about 60-80Kmiles.

Other than that, bombing is gonna be limited by not having an intercooler. I had about 24 Psi boost and could get 1300°F on the pyro empty on a run to 80+ MPH. Not a serious bomber truck but has some potential if you have the $$$$
