Snow Plowing strain/beatings

Is this a good idea? I know they get good mileage but are they dependable? Anyone own one that I can ask you questions about your ownership experience before I buy her one?

cannot comment on NB, but we all love our 03 Jetta wagon TDI 5 speed. Have 4k miles on it now with an average of 43 MPG at 80 mph, 89 miles 1 way to work, sometimes I pass slow gassers at 90 mph. I go up and down a 4,000 foot pass daily and pass anyone I want. I think that if you are tuned into diesels these cars are the only way to go. Now I am thinking about the VW Tourareg, a sport ute with hopefully in the US in 04 a V-10 diesel that puts out 555 ft lbs of torque and pulls 7700 pounds! I will have to sell a few cars to afford one, but I an sold on diesels.

Looks like the V-10 TDI will be here in the summer of 2004 according to this:
