Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Looking at truck, what to look for?

I was driving home tonight and spotted a nice looking older Dodge. Went up and had a look. It's a 2500 reg. cab, 4x4, 12 valve CTD 5 speed, and it's white. Don't know what year it is. Couldn't read odo real clear, but I think it read 186k. I'm gonna call about it tomorrow and maybe see about a test drive next week. What things should I look at when I go on the drive. I really doubt it's had the KDP fixed. The best part about this truck, It's at a FORD dealer. I figure they'd let go of it for pretty cheap. Thanks in advance

Basicly look for obvious things like leaks,worn parts. When testdriving check for brake operation,looseness in steering,any unusual noises,vibrations,ect. Do all the accessories work?,basic things like lights,wipers,ect. I always look at a vehicle as if I was buying it for a son or daughter.

I would give the track bar and steering linkages a good once over. If they are worn it could be a good bargaining tool.
