I just purchased my first Dodge truck with 1st Gen engine. I picked up a 93 W250 with the 5 speed transmission (just rebuilt). I am looking at doing a exhaust upgrade. Where can I purchase a 4" exhaust kit for my truck. I will install if myself, just need some direction. So far all I have found is 2nd Gen trucks.

Thanks

Hey guys ive also got a question about the 4'' exhaust. My exhaust shop doesnt think that a 4 in. pipe will clear my transfer case. Any of you 4x4 guys runnin 4 inch??

Thanks for the info on Rip Rook. I took a look and that is a step in the right direction. Now I just have order it and get it put on.

Thanks

Thanks for all of the info. I like the Stan's system as I have used them in the past for headers on a GM 6. 2 that I have.

Why Not

After you install the Stan's system, Why Not, let us know how it fits. :-laf

Yeah, isn't the clearance kinda' tight for a 4" downpipe? I noticed in one member's gallery that he had cut a hole in the floor of the cab to accomodate a 5" DP. Is anyone making a full 4" exhasut that will simply bolt up?

I have stan's on my 2wd, my buddy has stan's on his 4wd. Stan's 4" does fit past the transfer case. It's a tight fit, but doesn't touch anything and doesn't rattle or vibrate. Also it uses the OE hangers but the tailpipe, which they include a weld on hanger that will fit it, but my buddy and I used a uni-hanger on the tailpipe and cut off the unneeded part of the uni-hanger and it bolted to the OE hanger. Also Stan's is 4" turbo back. We didn't have any problems with the 4" down pipe clearance. They system fits like a glove.

I have a 4x4 and got my 4 inch from shopdiesel.com It was cheaper than anything else I have seen. It's a tight fit but doesn't touch/rattle and sounds good.

Whaddayaknow…I went up to Stan's yesterday and he put one of those 4" kits on. Fits perfectly with a nice machined piece on the turbo that he was real proud of. He's got a good lookin' shop up there and took me on a little tour before getting to work. Although mine's a 4x2, he says his 4" kit for the 4x4 fits just fine, too. As for me, to say I am happy with the 4" would be a gross understatement. Oo. Oo. Oo. I just can't believe I lived for so long with the stock exhaust!:D

with everybody thats got the 4 inch with any kits, could you take some pics of it going around the t-case... ... i want to box my frame on my swap and i am going to need the system that spends the least time in the frame rail..... if you can understand
