Looking for a 4th gen FASS install tutorial

Just as it says, looking for someone who has installed before with pointers or stuff to look for. youtube has a airdog install for the 4th gen no FASS videos for the 4th gen install though

I did mine about 3 months ago.

Biggest thing i can say to watch for is if you drop the tank make sure that you place bricks under the straps that hold the tank to the truck if you run the draw straw. I took 2 quarters and cut that much off the straw and havent had any issues.

Also what i found was that when i installed the red bracket on top i had to take my in tank system and turn it a 1/4 turn to the left to get it to clear the straw and show the correct fuel level.

If you were in DFW i would charge you a case of beer to come over and install.

- i had 2 fass lift pumps on my 02. one died 3 weeks after warranty was up. they offered me nothing but a full price rebuild. not even an exchange option, so i would have had to have the truck out of commission for weeks. that is bad business practice, in my humble opinion. cheers!

When i connected mine I left everything in place and plugged what wouldn't be used. That way in the event it fails I can stop on the side of the road for an 1hr tops and get back and connected. I even keep spare filters in the truck just in case.

why do you want a fass?
the stock lift pump is far more reliable.

Not sure why the OP got his, but I got mine from winning a raffle at some county fair in South Texas so I figured id install it lol.
