Looking for a chip for christmas

My father wants a chip for christmas so my mother asked me to look for one. she wants to spend around $600 so Im asking yall whats the best chip for around this prices I know people will have different opinion on the matter but I just need the info. I open to all ideas. He would like an adjustable. The truck is an 03 1 ton srw with a 6- speed. He has the afe filter. Also if you know were to get a good price I could use that also I would like to have it here by christmas. Thanks for any info

I am hearing rumors of the ramifier now being "in-cab" adjustable... I like my Edge EZ, but it is a bear to change the setings and IS NOT in cab adjustable. If I was shopping again I would have to really look at the ramifier if it can be adjusted on the fly. In cab adjustability would be really nice to have (I am finding out ) if: A) you aren't the only one driving the truck B) in foul weather C) looking for better mileage on the road but still want to win the occasional stop light drag.



BUT (I am sure you figured you where going to hear this) you really should also look at a EGT gauge with the box...

The van Aaken is a very good unit. It has 3 positions and you can pretty much set it and forget it. No fussing or making adjustments all the time. Most of the time you will probably set it in the middle possition and forget about it, unless you really need to take off quick or smoke someone. It will smoke pretty good on the high setting.



They work really well for moderate towing, though many have reported high egt readings on the high setting. It is not unmanageable at all if you drive with the egt gauge, but it can get rather hot if you are one to just floor it and forget about it without watching your gauges. On the mid setting, there is little egt worry.



All in all a nice plug and play unit that does what it says. Someday the company says they may offer a timing feature, which should make it even bettter. Just don't hold your breath on this feature.

TSperfomance has the Ramifier with in cab adjustability (0-100 hp) available. They have a $50 christmas coupon on their website. Right in your price range. Or go with the Bully Dog Pup for more HP, not in cab adjustable though, unless you buy their Outlook Monitor, but then you have blown your budget.



Take a look at the Ramifier, I'm putting one on my Christmas list.

You can have my Bully Dog Torque Dog for $500. It's in-cab adjustable. It makes too much power for me in the hot setting - it will slip my TC clutch. I can't seem to bring myself to flip the switch into a lower position... .

I say Look in the classifieds of tdr you might find a TSTPMCR in there with guages for 650 used but well worth it...
