Looking for a new ECM.

My ECM took a dive the other night while towing my 50 ft cartrailer. Now I need another ECM. Anyone have the lowdown on a good new or used ECM?

Dealer want's $1,800. 00, can get one through my local hookup for $1,400. 00

First thing you need to do is E mail Bob Wagner (SMARTY) he sent me a recovery program saved my ECM you just need a smarty I bought a used one and the dealer still said I needed a new Ecm well long story short Bob and Marco saved the day If your still wanting a ECM I got mine at Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market I have one for an 06 but Im sure it is different. Thanks guys for both suggestions all chrysler parts has a new ECM listed at $936. 00 and as far as Bob Wagner goes, I have been trying to contact him but I think he is out of town. I am hoping I can save my ECM, I would certainly purchase a Smarty if that will recover it.

I know hes out and about but I called and got a voice mail last week he did call back these guys are awsome the dealer had my truck for 3days said you need to put ECM in it but could not guarantee that would fix it. I called Bob he just chuckled said he had done a couple my buddy swiched his auto to a stick and it would only run in the limp mode Bob and Marco fixed it. Again Good Luck Randy

Left Bob a message, . . . maybe he is at SEMA. I think that SEMA ends today.

Wagner posted somwhere that he is on his way back from SEMA. I am certain he will be in touch as soon as he gets an opportunity

Industrial says the high side drivers have no power to cylinders 4,5, and 6. No power at the brown and light blue wires.

This makes it a hardware problem and not a software problem. I guess the old ECM goes to the ashcan?

Bummer I bought a used one off Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market for 250. 00 but yopu would still need a recovery program from Bob to unlock it I think but Im not sure Good Luck Randy
