BOC Edwards Intel Site Service Engineer. Hillsboro, OR

March 2000 – Present



-Installed and Maintained equipment at four Different Intel Production and Process Development Fabs

-Communicated directly with the customer to provide superior level of service.

-Coordinated Preventive Maintenance activities for over 600 pumpsets.

-Provided training to peers and the customer, specific to the operation of BOC Edwards Semiconductor Vacuum Pumping Systems

-Worked in a clean room environment.

-Experienced with semiconductor process abatement, and Thermal Conditioning Units

-Worked with numerous hazardous chemicals under specified guidelines.

-Skilled in the workings of Modicon Programmable Logic Controllers (MODSOFT)

-Experience with LONworks software and control networks as it pertains to BOC Edwards pump monitoring systems

-Safely worked with High Voltage (480AC) and Low Voltage (24DC) systems

-Ability to troubleshoot to the component level

-Proficient with HTML, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Front Page

-Certified forklift truck driver (OSHA Certification 1910. 179)

-Currently Licensed as Grade I Steam Engineer (unlimited) with the City of Seattle

-Journeyman Power Plant Operator

-Qualified as Nuclear Quality Assurance Inspector

-Qualified as Engine Room Supervisor and Shutdown Mechanical Operator in charge of all operating and shutdown evolutions including corrective and preventive maintenance of a 150MW Nuclear Power Plant

-Maintained, operated, and repaired steam plant main propulsion turbines

-Experience with Electro-Hydraulic governors on GE 2500 kW Turbine Generators

-Experience maintaining and operating auxiliary power plant equipment (Steam Driven Main Feed Pumps and Lube Oil Pumps, HP and LP Air Compressors, various Seawater and Freshwater pumps, Distilling Plants and Heat Exchangers)

-Served as Number One Main Engine System Expert: Responsible for the final shutdown and cold lay-up of Number One Main Engine during the decommissioning of the USS California CGN-36

-Experienced with Radiological Controls techniques

-Basic skills in Arc welding and Acetylene torch

I can relate to the steam plant work. I currently hold the second highest license obtainable in NJ.

I can direct you to many jobs in that field here in the NJ, Pa, NY area, but cant help you there.

I can tell you, 5402 is the number you want to plug in for steam plant type employment.

There are some openings out west.

There might be some openings at my customers here in Maryland, for Semiconductor Maint Tech work. Would you be interested in that. They are starting to absorb some of the layoffs from the industry, but there might still be an opening or two.

For me to move completely across the country, the offer would have to be quite lucrative.



BTW... what do you do for AMAT?
