Looking for a stock GM turbo

Anyone have any leads on getting a stock turbo for a 95 GM diesel motor? My neighbor is need of one. I believe they made by Garrett, but don't have the model number.

Check on eBay with a General Search for turbocharger. I have seen several GM turbos listed there recently, both new and used.

Look in the clasifieds at www.62-65-dieselpage.com I have seen lots of them there.

We have two at our shop... There are in the designated GM parts bin, which is about 4 feet tall, green, says "waste management" on the side, and gets picked up by a truck once a week... *LOL*

Are these turbo just lousy? This one lasted about 80K miles. Are there better aftermarket ones?

We get all our 6. 5 turbos from GM, since we have had bad experiences with a couple of rebuilders. Pricey, but always reliable.
