I had an ISSPRO tach with a bullet mount on the dash near where the factory tachs were. If you have a 89-91, you have to get the sensor togo on the crank, and run the wires. If you have a 92-93 you have aplug in under the dash, but most likely have to replace something if it dont work. I cant get either one of my ISSPRO tachs to work on my 92.

I am using Auto Meter #2888 Diesel pedestal mount. I mounted this on my steering column. This tach uses a pick-up lead on the alternator. I then took my truck to my local diesel shop and had them help me calibrate the tach to my truck. I have had no problems with this tach on my truck.

Why Not (Chris)

Isspro (and others) makes a model that runs off of the alternator pulses. You'll have to remove the back cover from the alternator and run a wire from one of the rectifier terminals to feed the tach. (thus making your own "R" terminal).
