I've got a 47re Bd diesel transmission in my truck that went 140,000 miles (with no issues). Had the pan dropped and found snap ring and thrust washer pieces in the pan. I had the transmission worked on but seem to be having issues with the shifting like a surge and delayed shifts etc. Don't want to get too into detail but I'm a the point where I want someone who knows this transmission and can diagnose this issue. I'm in Kentucky but willing to travel into the surrounding states, etc. Anyone have a good referral?!?

Skip it guys...I got in touch with a man in Missouri who's name I hear quite often on transmission forums who's willing to take this on.

I have a friend here in Nashville that is great with the Dodge transmission's. PM me and I'll be glad to give you his number.

Thanks but I got a guy i'll be turning too if things don't pan out soon. I'm surprised you don't hear more about these transmissions. This trans was installed 11 years and over 140,000 miles ago. Ran flawlessly even until the pan was dropped and pieces of the snap ring and thrust washer were in it.

If you're in Richmond, KY and your guy's in Missouri, then my man here is at least half that distance from you. Up to you.

He goes by name Tactransman...His name is Terry. Problem has since been resolved, was diagnosed as a faulty TPS after a rebuild.
