Towing to California. Any laws changed since 2009 regarding RV's?

2014 SRW 4x4 bedrail clearance adequate to a Montana 5th

So I have looked all over this forum and find all these threads on a back up camera but what I had found is that they turn on when you go into

reverse. So this is what I need a camera I can put on my 5th wheel on the back and I have to hook up my atv trailer and our bikes. I want to be able to watch them and see the trailer back there just incase something happens. Or a bike tips over for some stupid reason. Any ones out there that is on and is wireless. My 5th wheel is 32 feet back there so other trailer is behind that.

Thanks guys

There is really no reason that you couldn't connect the wireless camera of your choice to a constant on circuit with a switch (instead of the reverse only circuit) so that you could just flip the switch and look back there. That being said, wireless cameras ARE susceptible to interference and I do not know how well they would work with that kind of distance.

you know I was just think that as well looking at it and they are looking for a power supply from your back up lights. Why not wire them into something that is
powered with a switch. Now as for the wireless way I agree with the interference but figuring out how to wire the camper all the way to the truck might be just a lot of wiring done a lot of wiring before and thought wireless might be better now.

JJ--look at the 'iBall' camera. It's wireless remote. Has a magnet to attach the camera to the rear and the monitor part plugs into a 12v receptacle. Camera runs off one 9v battery. Works great and cost is about $140.

voyager camera and display. I mounted mine over middle running light on top back of 5th wheel. wired to red running lights. Turn truck lights on camera is powered up. I use it when passing or watching trailer behind 5th wheel. trailer is 38 ft 3500 ran lwb dually. Once in a while -- heavy traffic or lots of power line the camera fades in and out ( interference)
