I am looking for a set of fender flares (front and rear) for my 97. I have seen that Xenon is popular. What I want is just a black set. I don't want to paint them. What are you all using that didnt' break the bank? I was looking for rims that would pull in the stance some (my current rims are 4 1/2 backspace). Couldn't find any that I could afford with a 5 backspace. Anyway, thanks for any advice!

Factory and only factory.

About two years ago they were coming painted from the factory, they are not coming painted anymore.

They are very expensive, but very worth it...

Justin. .

You are aware of course that the factory fneder flares for the Second Generation trucks are Xenon's right?. They are made by them and shipped to good ol Ma Mopar to be distributed to the dealerships which need them.

AMink...

If you going to say a 10" wide wheel for more standce then you need something wider than the Xenons. Bushwhacker makes a couple of different styles to fit your tastes. The have a street style(narrow) and a off road(wide) and a pocket flare. Hope this helps give you another idea... ... Andy

I do not believe Bushwacker does makes a pocket flare for our trucks.

Also, I think the factory flares and the Xenons are actually different. Maybe the same company but I think the factory flares are a little different shape?

I guess that explains the outrageous price!

I have a friend that put a set on back in 98. They were Xenon's, but they look different then mine????

I do not have pictures of the flare and only the flare, but here are some to give you an idea. .

I'll check into the Xenon's. I don't have a need for a really wide flare (8" rims, 255's) just looking for a little more paint protection. Thanks for the replies.

im running the bushwacker extenda-flares..... pics are in both my readers rigs and webshots gallery..... very easy to install and look awesome.
