Two sides to a boost module. You have the mechanical side (wastegate), and an electronic side which is a sensor in the block which reads boost.
The mechanical side is pretty basic regardless of who makes or sells it. All it does is blocks air/boost from activating the wastegate. Just a brass elbow with an adjustable set screw.
The electronic side of it all goes between the stock harness and boost sensor. It basicaly makes the ECM think you are only running 20# boost.
