I have the Denver Off Road and love it. I have lots of pictures in my Readers Rigs section of the installation and finished product.

I have not seen any of these others so I can't make direct comparissons, but I certainly love my DOR!!

Hi have an Ali Arc bumper 0n my 2002, bolts up to the original frame mounting holes comes from Winnipeg Canada address is www.aliarc.com. cost around 1k installed at their shop in Winnipeg. sold the old front end assembly to offset some of the cost

You guys who have the steel front bumpers--do you have the stock springs up front? If so, do you know which springs you have (and where's that darn tag at on those springs anyhow?)

I would consider a Buckstop, but I don't want to spend an additional $2000 on suspension upgrades to handle it.

Thanks,

Mike

Midnite, others are running the steel bumpers with stock suspension. However you can purchase 2" taller springs for 140 dollars.

I'm running 2. 5" lift coils up front on my truck and got about 2 actual inches of lift out of it. As Chipstien said - about $140.

Wow--that's great to know! Is the 2" extra lift with the Buckstop, or the stock bumper?

Mike

That's with the buckstop comparing to stock springs with the stock bumper. So the buckstop took up about 1/2" of the 2. 5" lift coils.

In my case, I gained 2 1/4" of lift with the stock bumper. I suspect that if the front does sag at all with the bumper, it wouldn't be more then a 1/2 an inch.

 Where did you purchase the taller springs? Will they fit a 2WD? Or did you install lift spacers?

I have a 2WD and I want to raise the front end up also. I have been trying to find any info on raising the front end up on a 2WD but have only found info for 4WD.

ANY info would be greatly appreciated!!:D :) ;) :p

TIA

I originally had thought that I would have to add the lengthened springs as well, but then realized that my new Rancho's would have to be replaced. After adding a little more air to the front tires, everything feels normal again (I also have a 138-lb winch in my Buckstop). My dually came with 046 springs up front, so this might be a slight advantage over the 2500's.

There should be like a piece of tape wrapped around the spring coil and stuck to itself with a number on it. Not certain, but I think 48 is the stiffest factory spring.

Not sure if you saw this thread earlier last month? Anyway I am fitting my Milemarker hydraulic winch tomorrow (Friday 9th Jan) and should get some pictures onto the end of this thread below in a couple of day's time.

Flame Red Quadcab

As others have already stated, the Sport configuration on 99-up requires a workaround for full compliance and the best possible fit as far as UTE is concerned until I get hold of a pre-99 2nd gen replacement grille, which will then allow me to cosmetically take care of the final 5%.
