... that is used on Power Steering High Pressure hose. Male 18MM x 1. 50 O-ring tube fits into this connector. Hydraulic shops only have male hose connectors. Need to find female hose connector. Can anybody help?

Application is for hydraulic winch. Only want to make one "break" in factory setup in case I have hose failure to/from winch. Would want to be able to reconnect back to factory setup in an emergency.

Truck is 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 4X4 CTD.

I've never seen a female o-ring connector made to go on hose. You will most likely have to use an adapter to change the o-ring connection to something else, probably JIC.

It is NOT a female O-ring connector on the power steering high pressure hose! Female connector ACCEPTS Male O-ring tube connector.

Power steering high pressure hose is NOT available from automotive part's stores for 2001 model year. I prefer NOT to "order" from Dealer.

look at a company called Brits [or britts not sure of spelling] on the net. . british racing stuff and hard to find JIC pieces. . I just fornd a 12mmx1. 5 to -8 jic male x male adapter there. . and that was like looking for the needle in the hay stack[you can find the stuff in catalogs but no one stockes this stuff

they are located at the Sears Point raceway in Sonoma, Ca. [there is a new name now called Infidium raceway [sp ?]

another source might be Goodridge [several lacations for wholesale sales to distributors . . again finding the actual part might be tuff]. .

I'm not at home right now so I can't look in their catalog to see if they have it... sorry

also did you try Mile Marker Winch. . they should have adaperts to install in several applications or at lease source a supplier for you

I called Milemarker. No help on their end.

Do you still have your "totaled" truck? Would be willing to have JIC 6AN fitting put on one of your hoses.

Called Plews/Edelmann, division of Gates Rubber. They make power steering assemblies. They are only NOW starting to do engineering for this hose/fitting. May be available next April? :--)

not sure I understand your thought on that question/answer

I think that the old hoses were cut when we pulled the motor. . been so long ago I don't remember... but it's down on my lower road . . I could check it out for you tomorrow and see if the hose is there and if it is your welcome to it... if it's there it's been "exposed " to the elements without any cover . . contamination ??

If there is enough hose left where the master brake cylinder tube connects, I can get a new end put on it. You would need to remove the bump tube O-ring connector. See what you can "see?" I would guess the power steering high pressure hose was "cut" at the power steering pump? I hope?

High Pressure Power Steering Hose...

Found a 2001 Dodge Ram CTD Dully at junkyard. Wacked and removed hose. Female hose end accepts 16mm x 1. 50mm pitch bump tube O-ring adapter. Will have JIC -6AN fitting put on other end. Now onto the winch plumbing...

"Cut" hose was $25. Ouch! Better than $85. at stealer. :)

Junkyard would NOT let me remove some of the PDC connector's I wanted. :(

This hose run's from Hydraboost to Steering Gear Box. Hose from Power Steering Pump to Hydraboost accepts 18mm x 1. 50mm pitch bump tube O-ring adapter.

This is the hose that has to be connected to MileMarker hydraulic winch control box.

Purchased wrong hose from junk yard first time. Externally the only difference is length of female receptacle. Internally two different sized bump tube o-ring fittings. :-{}

Hose man

This is the place I go when I need any type of hose, they usually can make or come up with anything you can think up. They custom make special app. hoses while you wait. Many different types of fittings etc. The store itself is right near my house, tons of fun stuff. Not sure how there web site is but hope you can find what you need or something that well work.
