I noticed that my truck was starting to pull right the other day when I had to come down hard on the brakes. I have also noticed that I have to hold my steering wheel turned about 10 - 15 degrees to the left and am constantly correcting the wheel.

I guess I need a front end aligment. I have almost 80,000 on the truck and had the last alignment done about 40 - 50,000 miles ago.

Might this also be a track bar problem? I am mechanically declined so this would be just a guess based on what I have learned reading the boards.

I am fairly new to KC and am looking for a good alignment shop in KC, preferably on the KS side or even in Lawrence as I live about 15 miles from Lawrence.

Thanks in advance.

I live in Lawrence and have had good service from and heard nothing but good things about D & D Tire. They are at 10th and Vermont, 843-0191. They do a lot of work on heavy pickups and trucks. They have been around for 25 years that I know of. But I imagine you can find something closer to home.

Thanks,

I live 10 miles or so from downtown Olathe so a drive to Lawrence is no problem. I am used to driving 15 - 20 miles one way for something and besides I will be driving my truck. <G>

Say Eventer, I'm in Olathe myself. After a very up close and personal meeting with a concrete and steel parking garage pillar :{, my beloved Ram lived for a while with Metro Collision right here in Olathe. A little over over four weeks and nine grand later (thank God for insurance), my Ram came back driving truer than ever and they'd even centered the steering wheel for me after I'd, uh, "fiddled" with the front end height ;).

Metro might not be an alignment shop, but these guys really seem to know what they're doing. Ya might give them a call.

Or PM me, and I'll give YOU call - or send you my number. There's a dyno coming up in two weeks. If you're new to the area, there are a lot of great guys that come to these.
