I am looking to build a engine for the spring etc that will need to be fireringed. It would be a bare block and head. I would like to find a shop with a deck plate to hone the block too. I'm in NY, but willing to travel a few states to get it done right. Any shops? I know Scot at Mass Diesel can firering . . but I don't think he has a deck plate... Any Ideas, suggestions.

Thanks,

Deo

Im in Northern NJ not far from you and have the same question. There are a few shops by me that say they can do it, but have never done it on a cummins. I know of Auto Wurks Diesel in NJ but havnt heard the best things about them and the prices are a little steep. Any other suggestions?

try tricountymachine.com they are a full machine shop and do oringing/firering not sure if they deck tho, but worth a shot. he is in lebanon ct

there is a place called east coast diesel in PA that does good work.

it owend by ladell weaver. he is a great guy to do business with.

i know a bunch of guys who have had firerings and such done there and are very happy with it.
