looking for heavy front springs

wondering if anyone uses the skyjacker 2. 5 levelling springs with a plow. i run a 9' fisher and am planning on putting on a heavier plow next year. i just want it to sit more level since my front sags and my rear springs barely dropped when i put in a 1700lb rock for weight and a yard or more of sand at times.

You can also run airbags in the front to help out..... on a 4X4 anyway... .

Yep. go for the airbags. And AirLift has a fine auto leveling system for not to much money which might be useful with a plow. OTOH, it would try to level every time you raise or lower the plow so a manual system like I've got on the rear of my truck might be more useful there. I was able to hide the compressor in the left front fender of my truck so that it's protected from rain and most other stuff. Gauge and switch bracket are mounted to lower side of ashtray cause there wasn't any other place to put them after the trailer brake controller and transmission temp gauge took up other lower dash space.

I wouldn't imagine you would find too many 2wds plowing snow...

ive seen a lot of 2wds pushing round here in the past. almost all are older duallies tho. get some good treads in the rear, drop a salt box in, and be smart about using your gears, you can get along alright.

I don't think I've seen a single 2wd pickup as a plow truck up here. The big city dump trucks I'm sure don't have 4x4 (or 6x6, be it the case) but other than that, all the pickups that plow around here are 4x4. We also probably get more up here than you do. The real big parking lots... malls and such, hire out full size construction front end loaders to plow their lots. Snow piles are probably around 15-20ft high where they push all the snow in the corners. The amount theyre pushing around up here, along with the fact that for weeks on end you get a layer of ice under it, I don't believe you could plow with a 2wd that weighed any less than 20,000lbs empty.

yea, i think the snow accumulation is a lot more up north were your at. they use loaders round hear to in the huge commercial areas. but we still dont get nearly as much as you.
