My wife and I are full-timers working in the medical profession. I have a wonderful job opportunity in Grand Island, but we are having trouble finding a place to park the rig long-term. The closest campground I have found is in Hastings, 25 or 30 miles to the south. This will not be close enough if we have to take call at the hospital (we usually have only a 20 or 30 minute response time).
Does anybody in the G. I. area know of a mobile home park or private individual that would be willing to rent us a lot? Not looking for anything fancy, just a place to land for at least a year. We can provide references if necessary.
Requirements would be full-hookups for a 36' fiver, triple slide, 50 Amp, phone capabilities (we would pay for the phone service, but need someplace to plug into), dog friendly (Golden Retriever and a mixed pound pup. . no vicious breeds), Internet capabilities (WiFi, cable, or phone hookup), and available year round, including winter.
The hospital is asking a 1 year commitment, so we will be there awhile. We would love to stay in our RV (obviously), but have also considered renting an apartment if no other accommodations can be made. This opportunity is that good for me.
