1st ever BD Diesel Dirt Drags

My truck needs some love after 10 years and would like to hear some recommendations on reputable repair shops in the Puget Sound area. I live in Kitsap but will travel as far as Portland for a quality shop.

Here are the items that need attention and repair/replacement:

  • Upper and lower ball joints (third replacement)... I think its time for free spin hubs and quality greasable parts.
  • Clutch is on its way out replace with a quality South Bend. I have read however, that some have not liked the replacement as they are "noisy" (as in rattle) and I'd rather avoid that if I could.
  • Front brakes: rotors, calipers, pads

Those are the things that "need" to be done and here are a few items that I'd like to have done at the same capable shop:

*FASS (dual ?)
*Rear airbag system
*Leveling lift

Any recommendations and/or comments are greatly appreciated

Garth

I sent each one a quote request, we'll see what happens. So far I've sent out 4 quote requests since Monday and zero have replied. I know that a phone call is preferred, but I'm busy and a quick email works best for me. I might have to change my strategy, but not so much as a return phone call from two shops in Monroe WA.

Thanks again Bob, it helps when a fellow TDR'r makes a recommendation!!! :D

Plateau Diesel in Enumclaw Washington: :)

Following items replaced: Front brakes ( rotor, caliper, pads ) South Bend Clutch, Dynatrac Front HD Ball joints, Dynatrac Free-Spin Hub conversion.

Bottom line: I would highly recommend this shop. Once I put some miles on my truck and ensure that everything is still solid, I'll post my experience with them in detail. For now, the shop performed significant work with skill and professionalism. Chuck is a true asset to their team and provides a wealth of knowledge not only to the mechanics but to the customer as well, and that's important to guys like me spending hard earned, scarce money.

I recently had some work done @ Dynamic Diesel in Snohomish. I was very pleased with the customer service and the fair pricing on the work done. I will definitely go back to them again.
