I'm converting my '94 standard cab to an extended cab. I know some of the later 2X4 5 speeds came with 4" diameter rear 2 piece shafts and the autos came with 3 1/4" rear shafts. My standard cab automatic 241 HD has a 1 piece 4" driveshaft. A shaft I bought from a salvage yard from a '95 3500 4X4 has a 2 piece 3 1/4" rear shaft.
The '95 is unique because of the length (RH trannys are about 2" longer) and it's the first year of extended cab body.
I'm not sure if the HD T-case would make a difference in shaft diameter. Can someone with a '95 3500 4X4 automatic with a HD T-case PLEASE measure their rear driveshaft diameter and post it?
