Looking for RR/Allison 250 Gas Turbine

Hey all, anyone know where I can get a running T63 turbine to donate to my school district for a voc ed class?

What does it go in? Sometimes you can get military equipment at DRMO sales if you have one you can reach. Maybe get in touch with turbine manifactures, Allied signal, turbo mach, Air Research ect, ect... Alot of times they will donate older engines or discontinued engines to schools. Another source at times is NASA. How you go about getting ahold of them(NASA) I don't know but have been in a school in AZ that NASA had donated some engines to. Hope this helps.

There should be bunches of them out there, the most popular application I know of is the Bell 206 Jetranger Helio.

Good luck getting a running one, that's a big $$$ donation.

Would a T62 work? We have 2 of those on our airplane for APU's and the C-130 and air carts and alot of other things that run varients.
