Attention: TDR Forum Junkies 
Folks, looking for someone who can add sleeper to 97 2500 Club Cab. Don't need the rear seat, just want a bed for me (6'2") and will probably put a utility/service body on it to get all the tools out of the cab. Did a search on the forums and several of the links are outdated. Need to be able to pull a fifth wheel.
What brought all this about was pulling off the road to eat and got rear-ended about 60 mph by Toyota SUV (think it was a Sequoia/Four Runner?). Had aluminum adjustable hitch ball the took all most all of the hit. Knocked cables off the batteries and angled rear axle to the frame. Have not seen if the frame is bent. Bed was pushed into cab on passenger side. Fortunately I was not hurt and passenger was just shook up.
Insurance is probably going to total it, and I will buy it back.
BTW. Hitch ball met engine block in Toyota, everything came to complete stop. Driver was not injured, but looked like sharp knife removed his front end.
