Hey gang,

Anyone have contact for getting some 3" 12 guage pipe to replace the muffler? I have called all over town to diffent exhaust shops and they all have 14 gauge. I know 12 is suggested to help with the "drone". Any other suggestions to help avoid possible drone?

Thanks

I bought the muff eliminator pipe from Geno's and no drone problem. I thought the drone problem was with the 4 inch systems:confused:

Kbond... do the Geno's muff eliminator kit,,, your 01. 5 has a nice resonator in front of your muff you won't drone. I ran that way for over 10k it's sweet. I'm sure you'll love it... just leave the resonator in place. The improvement your about to experience is impressive for the little money spent;)

Thanks WTBURKE for the info. Just out of curionsity, do you still have the eliminator kit hanging around in the garage?? if so I would be happy to purchase if from you. Your much closer to me then Geno's. If not no biggie. Thanks again for your insight.

Ken, I'm sorry the previous factory system was damaged in the removal proceedure. I had a local buddy inquire about the factory tip also. The gentelman who I allowed to remove the OE system was in such a hurry he slammed the tip to the ground just as I was yellig, "Hold on I wanna save... . Ka-Blam..... that. " I told him no worry... he felt bad about it. But his care doing the 4" install, made up for the bafoonery of disassembly.

I belive most muffler shops will remove your factory muffler and install a short piece of 3" in place for $50 bux or less. I'm in northern Kalifonia and my buddy just did this last Friday for that amount.
