I'm looking for some mud flaps for my 2500 truck. I've done a search and found the ones from NW custom, but feel they are out of my price range. I've seen the Mopar ones and the Husky ones too.

I'm looking for some that will not rub the paint and will provide plenty of coverage for my 285/65/16 tires.

Anyone have any other options? Pictures would be very nice.

Thanks in advance,

Charles

Jim,

Thanks. Those look very nice. Are they pretty much flat where they mount in the wheel well. I'll give them a call and see what they cost.

DC actually sells SEVERAL different types - I have splash guards at EACH wheel due to our rural gravel roads. I bought the ones from DC that are of the "sculpted" design, they fit some of the existing fender well mounts, require no special hangers or fabrication, and while they are not real long in depth, can easily be added to to get whatever final length best fits your wants - mine are very nice looking, and quite sturdy - they cost about $75 for the four...

I ended up ordering a set from Kaydenco.

They look very nice. I'll post some pics when I get them on the truck.

They will give you 10% discount if you're a TDR member. Be sure to call David Perry (owner) when you order.

Charles,

I think you'll like them... they are very sturdy and completely flat which will give you many mounting options. When you get them, let me know and I'll try and describe the refererence points I used to line mine up before drilling any holes. I was able to use the two existing bolts in the fender lip and then added 3 more to secure them really well. The only problem I ran into doing the install was that I had to take the rear wheels off to get enough room to drive in the bottom couple of screws. Wasn't really a problem, I just hadn't thought that far ahead when I started the install:rolleyes:

Charles,

DC makes some long flat one that I like. Sorry, I don't recall what they cost. They have worked very well on the 2k' gravel drive that I have, keeping the rocks off the rocker panels. Specially the stones that get stuck in the tire till you get up to speed. Check the parts accessory cataloge at the dealer. HTH

I got a set from a place in Bozeman, MT called Auto Trim Design. They are the Mr. Mudflap brand. Nice heavy flexable rubber w/ stainless steel bottom trim plates. $55/pair front or rear.

I want some like Dave Mitchell has on his truck. I need some nice tall, wide mud flaps because I run 33x12. 50xR16. 5's on 16. 5x9. 75 rims.

They have the Cummins/Dodge mudflaps, I've got them on mine and they are waaaay cool IMHO..... LOL

I think the price was in the 55-70. 00 range for all four, can't remember exactly. PITA part is that you have to drill your own holes in the flaps and fenders as well as provide your own hardware. Not too bad to do, though, I managed to do all four on my dually without removing any of the wheels.

I'll have to get some of those Kaydenco flaps. I'm kind of unhappy with the flat mopar flaps. They're not quite as wide as I'd like, and not quite as long. To think I got the biggest ones they had. :p

Those are the ones! Oo.

I didn't see them on the Powerstore site

Acutally no wait (hope this works) these are a pic of Dave M's mud flaps. Those are close but I want the ones with the HUGE C#ad

Don't know if you can find them around I had to check with four dealers before I found a set but..... the old Dodge 4X4 mud flaps that came out in 95-98 worked very well and were long enough to keep rocks from getting to the rocker panels.

The dealer where I bought my new truck didn't have any sold I took the old ones off and put them on the "02". Dodge quit making them because people were putting them on two wheel drive trucks and then riping them off when the backed into curbs and such... ..... then complained.

Here's the pics from my truck, they're also on the front but a little harder to see, unfortunately. These are from the Cummins Powerstore, the ones I was talking about with the Dodge/Cummins logos.
