AFNash.com down (again)

I'm shopping, via the internet, for a flatbed car hauling trailer and having a hard time finding websites.

Can anyone direct me towards some? Any recomendations or dealers to stay away from?

I found Top Notch Trailers, in Rochester. Any feed back on them?

Thanks, Jeff

I bought a real nice 12000 lb trailer from bulldog trailers in Chehalis, WA. The trailer is manufactured by Fox trailers out of Idaho.

Many in my Jeep club are running Bulldog trailer out of Chehalis, Wa. Prices last I checked were about $1600 for a 16ft 2axle w/electric brakes.

The trailer I bought cost about $4000. 00 Its a 20 foot pop up dove tail deck over trailer. GVW 12000 lbs. the trailer weighs about 3500 lbs which gives me about 8000 + lbs of payload. The trailer seems very well made. my only complaint is that I have not found a good place to mount the licence plate. Hope nobody notices me towing without a plate. Probably a big deal to a state trooper.

Thanks for the info, I'll check out Bulldog when I make it down that way.

When buying a trailer is it customary to take it for a "test tow"? How about prices, are they negotiable like cars and trucks?

Thanks again, Jeff

As far as I know Bulldog is not negotiable. They also sell very quickly. I recommend calling ahead. They typically have the best price in the state for a simple car hauler. They also sell other styles depending on your needs. I've had a few people with other brands and/or homemade trailers comment on how great the trailer rides behind the truck.
