I'm new here to the TDR, and was wondering if I could find out some outside opinons about new tires. I'm still running the factory BFG's at almost 50k and was wondering if anyone is running or has run Cooper Discover STT's. I was looking to get 285's up from the current 265's. How many of y'all have had or have Coopers? Or, are there any other recommendations? Down here in Texas, I don't have to deal with much snow, but I do take the occasional trip to Colorado to go skiing. Down here it's usually mud and sand. Anyways, I appreciate any opions and help in advance!

X2 I've been considering those 285 Coopers :)

I've had my LT285/70R17 Cooper Discoverer STT's since March of this year. At 7k miles, they're doing great. They're only slightly noiser than the LT33x12. 50R17 Mastercraft Courser C/T's I previously ran. The most road force any one tire had was 14 lbs... ... ... . they balance out great and give a great ride at interstate speeds.

I've run Cooper S/T tires for years on various trucks, and have 315 Cooper S/T rubber on my '02 right now. They have been great tires, and are at about 1/4 original tread with almost 50,000 on them. I have ordered new STT Coopers in 315/75R16 size, and based on my personal 10+ years of Cooper tire purchases, I'm sure I'll be pleased with these as well.

I went with 305/65/17 Procomp Xtreme A/T. They are slightly more noisy that the BFG Rugged Trail, but nothing bad so far. They are one of the few E load range available.
