While at Indy this yr i spoke to some guys that I beleive were from Wis. or somewhere close that were doing conversions manual to auto. This particular guy had a shifter that looked like a 6-spd , but was actually an auto. would anyone have any contact info for these guys, buy the way they were in the motel parking lot where all the burn outs were,

Suncoast is making a allison conversion for our trucks, except they want $10,000. Yes, $10,000.

There are brothers in Indianapolis that have done the allison conversion, but they told me to call Suncoast. They said they only did it for there trucks, and they said it wasnt easy to do.

I know that certain buses have the 5. 9 Cummins with the Allison trans. behind them.

You can also call this guy. His name is Gabe and he goes by Gabe32 on the DTR forum. He has been doing allison conversions. Heres his number 419-545-4217.

My truck just went in for an auto transmission swap. NV5600 to 47RH. The built trannys are pricey for sure. Hopefully I will will be happy with the change, but I will miss having a gear for all occasions.
