Took truck in for leaking tailshaft seal on the 241 HD transfer case today. I also had them check out a coolant leak I thought I had. Turns out that the greenish looking stuff that I thought was anti freeze is actually a dye that was in the vapor bottle. I noticed this stuff with about 1000 miles on the truck and couldn't determine a leak. Also the overflow resvoir was down to the add mark. I added a bout a half gallon of anti-freeze and watched . Now with almost 1800 miles on the clock, resvoir still full. So I guess it could of been dye. Tech had no explanation why this dye would be in the bottle to begin with. (SideNote: Tech bought my old truck day I traded for new one -- Used to work for Cummins

So incase you have what appears to be a coolant leak, check out the vapor bottle!
