Well, at least we dent have to say a word anymore about the Cummins, evidentally the Ferd guys do watch. Funny, I know alot of guys with some pretty tricked 6. 0 and 7. 3's and they leave me alone. pretty funny how that one guy said that he doesn't mess with the Cummins boys unless he knows whats under the hood, ill race anyone with a ferd and if he beats me then so be it, but he better not show up the next week :D , he will be OWNED... ... . Jeremy

I really liked THIS post:

If its a truly built cummins, I wouldn't tangle with him. 5k goes a long way on a cummins, and those guys can make over 600 HP and 1000+ torque with that kind of money. Good chance he only has a chip, and exhaust, in that case you can probably take him with an SCT, and exhaust. I try to not mess with the cummins boys if I don't know what they have in it, and I consider my truck pretty fast at mid 13's.

yee haw

I feel like im back in high school pickin on the nerd kids :-laf :-laf :-laf . . poor poor powercroak guys... . as my wife tells me to stop picken on the ferd guys on the highway :-laf :-laf :-laf :-laf ... ... . jeremy

I'll say this, if you wanna build a 430 RWHP truck cheap, the 6. 0 is the easiest and cheapest way to do so. That SCT tuner will make crazy power on a stock truck. I watched a QC4x4 6. 0 run mid 13's on an sct and exhaust last year at the commerce race. a 24v needs a transmission and a few other things before that is gonna happen. That being said, some of the highly modded 6. 0's arent fairing too well. I have heard SEVERAL reports of the modded injectors taking random dumps and going lazy. Of course, we can buy Mach 6's and a case of beer, and a pizza for what the ford guys pay for a mild set of 6. 0 injectors.

A buddy of mine back in MI bought an 03 6. 0. Hot juice is the only mod and he said he dynoed at 420hp with an auto

Thats funny . . powerstroke guys seem to be a little scared. Maybe they are the boy who started that post is re-thinking his 6. 0 decision. :-laf

Don't get TOO carried away with what the 6. OOOoooNOooos will do with just a add-on box - have you seen the numbers a new common-rail 3rd generation Dodge will do with one?

Apples/Apples ya know... ;) :-laf :-laf

I'm not too carried away, I still have my Dodge, and the 6. 0 has been plagued with problems. I am saying that it takes a helluva lot more $$ to get my truck running mid 13's than it does a comparable 6. 0. Now, that being said, I can get my truck to make crazy power after that, and the best a 6. 0 can muster now is about 7 bills on copious amounts of nitrous.

BIG difference between your '01 and a 3rd generation Dodge... I'm talking at least SOMEWHERE near the same year model trucks, Ford vs DC... The 3rd generation trucks are far more a direct comparison to the Ford 6. 0 than your '01 or my '02.

Apples/Apples! :D
