BD Power Super B Turbo, love mine!

Cruising at 70mph, EGT's at around 750-800, fuel pressure at 15 lbs. Very responsive from a roll, hits 100 mph in a blink of an eye. :D

Mike

That seems pretty hot. At 70mph I am around 500F. I bet it's fast though! :D

well the super b is on order through kyle4 who has a banner ad on this site.

hey mike, just curious. i noticed you have 15 lbs fuel pres. due to the air dog (i assume). did you 1. bypass the factory pump, 2. "y" into it, or 3. put in front of the factory setup? i have solid 5-1/2 lbs which never drops, so i am not looking to upgrade at this time, but i am, as i said, just curious, and will store the info for future ref.

by the way, you mentioned "making the front end lift". i think thats why i hurt my turbo, i backed off too quick because the front end felt very light at 90, and the road wasn't all the smooth, so the truck started to get "strange".

thank you to all that have posted. i read and re-read all posts to make sure i had the best available info to make my decision.

the TDR is a tremendous resource.

i will let you know how lil red runs when i get her back together.

LOUD blow off valves?

If it happens alot, get a blow-off valve.

OK, so I am sure that I am going to upset some of the big truck purists with this question, but I was in my friends ricer the other day and his blow off valve is LOUD! I asked him about it and he told me that it was his aftermarket BOV. Are there blow off valves like that for our trucks? I love that sound!

You are most likely hearing the wastegate open that lets boost out when shifting gears.

This is not how a wastegate would function. A blowoff valve, on the other hand, would.
