2002 ChevyAstro, Front Drivers Side Disk Brakes.

Outside PAD is loose and rattles when I'm driving. I pulled it all apart retightend the 2 caliper holding screws and it's still loose. Pad has at least 1/2 material left. I can move it around by had easisly and has probably 1/16 of an inch where it wobbles around. When brake is pushed it holds the pad tight against the rotor.

Caliper is a single piston design, the pad that is loose is on the "dead" side ie not the one that is right next to the piston.

Any advice here? Bad caliper? TIA!

Sounds like the caliper is OK.

Put some of that anti rattle silicone like stuff on the outside of the pad to hold it tight & away from the rotor.

That IS a very large gap, but if the breaks are working & stopping you I wouldnt sweat it.
