The lower latch on my passenger side door is loose and moves at the bottom. I tried turning the tortz bolt on the bottom of the door and it was tight and started to strip out. Has anyone else has this problem? It's causing a problem with some slight air noise and is loose enough at this point to cause a slight rattle. Is there something inside the door I am missing to fix this?

If it is the latch on the bottom of the door, and not the part screwed to the cab frame, then yes, you have to access it from inside the door. You get to pull the trim panel off the inside of the door, get through the plastic "moisture barrier", and tighten them from inside.

Seems to me there is a plastic ventilation baffle that you may have to remove for better access (instead of the plastic sheeting?), but that was easy.

It's been a year since I had to tighten mine, so I don't remember the details. The hardest part is getting the trim panel off and back on (stupid plastic retainers).

It is the part mounted to the door. I will take that cover off and go that route and hope none of the fasteners clips fail. But we know how that goes. ;) Thanks for the information!
