My wife's driver-side sun visor is loose and will not stay in the up position. Doesn't bother her as she is a bit shorter than me, but every time I drive her truck, I have this thing bumping me in the forehead, or I resort to putting it in the "block the sun" position and have to duck to see under it. Does anybody know if there is an adjustment for these (official or un-official) or do I need to buy a new visor? **(I had a 2nd gen that had a passenger-side mirror that was loose. I took it apart and was able to "manufacture" an adjustment, so it wouldn't wobble)** I haven't looked into taking the visor apart yet, thought I'd ask to see if there was already something known about. Thanks, Trey

Trying to remember 3 years ago when I did mine, but I seem to remember around $35. Not sure though, the older I get, the longer ago it was!

I found a claim on ebay that replacing the clip will help but I'm very skeptical. url]

Yeah, I don't think the clip has anything to do with droopyness. The ones in my truck and the passenger side of my wife's truck stay up whether they're in or out of the clip. I think the tension is in the connection where it mounts to the roof. Maybe I'll tear into it and see what I can find... Thanks for the inputs.

Common problem I think, I replaced mine several years ago with an OEM replacement.

It came with a new clip to hold the unattached end by the rearview mirror up so there must be some difference in the clip. Has been good ever since replacement. I don't remember how much I paid for it.

I don't think there is a tension adjustment in the mounting clip. I think it is in the visor itself where it rotates around the rod. The clip on the outer end also has nothing to do with tension. When I replaced mine, I left the old clip in place, and the new OEM visor has worked fine for 3+ years now. I think the mounting clip is only good for holding it to the roof, and pivoting the visor from the windshield to the side door.

Correct. Bend the rod slightly, and it will keep the visor in position.

crapola, passenger side visor went kapoot couple days ago. Tried bending the rod and still no work, guess I'll have to call Dodge also:(
