Has anyone else experienced this, because my 2000 V10 did the same thing? On cold mornings, those when the temp is freezing or below, it sounds as though the windshield seal has frozen. When I hit any sort of bump the whole thing sounds loose, almost like it's going to pop out. I talked to the local auto body guy and he had never heard of this problem before. Like I said, my '00 did it, so the problem can't be unique to this particular truck. Any help, advice or info is welcomed, even if I can't solve the problem, at least I'll know what is causing it.

Ive been down your way. Its usually been in the spring or summer though. Its probably condensation thats frozen and breaking loose when your driving. My 01 does the same type of popping on occasion as well and its not even below freezing. I doubt if theres anything to be concerned about unless the windshield starts leaking. The urethane that holds the glass is durable material.

On your doors, by the mirrors, where the inner edge touches the windshield rubber moulding, try putting a little silicone grease on that whole area. Just run a film on with your finger and wipe off any excess on the outside edge. This cured my problem. Mine did it only in the cold weather.
