Good point. I'm running 295's right now and it doesn't look like anything bigger is going to fit very well(without rubbing).

My 05 actually went up 3" with the hd Kore coils,measured at the wheel opening. The spring rate is also diff. Sean will have to fill you in on his springs. I think they may be a little less rate than the KORE. My wheel opening sits at 43" with bfg 315's

Speaking from my own experience I don't think that running 35's/315's is generally a problem. In fact I do not have the snow plow springs and I am running 35's. The only rubbing that I usually get is on the control arms at full lock. If this type of rubbing worries you then then you can always adjust the hardstops to prevent rubbing, you won't lose much turning radius. I also come real close to touching on the screw heads that hold my mudflaps on when the tires are really stuffed at full lock. If you do a search on 35" tires you will find quite a few threads discussing this.



As far as substituting one 2. 5" coil for another I think it would stand to reason that the ride height should be close to the same (within weight and manufacturing tolerances), however the performance of the spring may vary by virtue of different spring rates. Two different springs can have different no-load lengths and correspondingly different spring rates so that the static ride height is the same, but the suspension will perform differently (dynamic behaviour). I don't know what the snowplow spring rates are in comparison to Lorenz's springs, but I suspect Sean will chime in here and answer that.
 
Does it matter that I'm retarded and forgot to mention that mines' an '02? :rolleyes: Anyway, these snow plow springs are going in the trash! If I don't replace 'em with something else soon, I'm not going to have any teeth left. :-laf Seriously, there's no reason this truck should ride this bad. I'd like to get away with just changing out the coils and the shocks; can I do this? Will it put my front end up too high?

I noticed . 5-1" of lift compared to my 40,000 mile snow plow prep springs. 10k of those miles were with a camper on the truck. The rates for the snow plow prep springs and the HD coils are on my web site. HD COILS



The amount of lift, compared to their stock springs, will vary slightly due to the stockers sagging. If the springs your replacing have 150k miles on them with a winch hanging 1ft off the front of the truck your going to see a bit more lift than a guy who has 5000 miles on his truck and his OEM springs aren't broken in yet.



I don't think it's your front coil springs that are giving you the rough ride. 75% of it is from the 3/4 or 1 ton leafs we all have out back.
 
Thanks for the great reply,nice website! Still green in the suspension department, I'm not really sure what those spring rate numbers mean exactly. Looks like some pesos are going to have to be saved up to include some mini packs for the rear; might as well get the whole package.
