Sure glad I don't live there. 40 degrees here tomorrow morning is the pits.

I feel the same about 100* weather.

Had 2" on the vehicles this morning but the ground was too warm for anything to stick. Supposed to get 1-3 overnight. Our first snow usually hits before Halloween.

I hate that my truck is still out, normally put away by now...but I need it for a least two more weeks so it will have to go down to work for a thorough cleansing before I put it away......gotta take it out later this morning and run it in this dreck and salt sand......damn it....

Reminds me of a song:
"There's a stretch of road up North in Maine that's never, ever, ever seen a smile..."

Wife attending a big craft fair today so she whipped me up a quick stew/soup thing in the crock pot.....great stuff in this kind of weather....trouble is that I will get sleepy after a couple bowls of it....o_O

Buddy that lives up on the lake sent me this an hour ago

I immediately returned a picture from my back yard, I'm 12 miles due south, lake effect can make for some extreme variations in weather. If the wind was coming out of the north instead of the west, it would have blown off the lake right over him and got me.
Im not complaining!

This is the time of the year when I'm glad to be in Az.. Mid 70's in the day and 50's at night with no salt or other corrosive materials on the road. I was singing a different song May till mid October tho. The Daughter, Son in law and Grandchild have the nasty time with mainly temps in Minot with some teen's and single digits right now. They were here a little while ago when we were in the 80's and 60's then went back and walked straight into freezing temps. We have now moved from the surface of the Sun to the valley of the Sun.

Taking a bowl of it for a test drive right now!!!MMMM!!

That was excellent...now if I can fill the wood stove without falling asleep and make it back upstairs......:)

Watching my daughters dog today, both her dog and ours are snoring right behind my chair.....power of suggestion....

When I got up this morning the outside temp was 18F and the wind chill was 6F here in sunning in IL. We still have some snow on the ground, we had one of the earliest snow falls I can remember got an 1+ on Thursday night into Friday morning.

Probably right Dave, just had a sandwich and a half and can feel the energy draining away...gotta stay upright long enough to Service wife’s van and get the snow Tires on....
