We are dealing with 70's all week and into the weekend, I'm thinking about leaving a light jacket in the back seat in case I leave the grocery store after sun down, it might be nippy! Being a scout taught me to always be prepared.

Pictures have been coming to me all day showing just how bad it was/is up North, will try and post a few after I get some paperwork done....

From a post up in the "County"..

"For my family in Massachusetts and friends down south-wondering what its like to live in (Northern Maine) one of the tippy tops of the USA—its like Antarctica.. Snow drifts well over your car, blown into main roads some impassible where you have to turn around; some one lane where you cant see whats coming from the other direction. Schools are cancelled and roads are closed. Plow truck drivers and heavy machinery operators giving up into the night to go get some sleep and telling everyone to go out at their own risk as they can not rescue them. Reports of people leaving their cars and walking/snowshoeing home. Reports of people staying the night in their cars. Snowmobilers not being able to continue down their trails and having to either turn back or continue on foot. We’re not okay up here. The wind will blow you away....here are some pictures of the past few days...

****Edited: A couple of these pics are in surrounding provinces of Canada just over the borders from Maine. But most are back roads/main roads in Aroostook County"

I feel for you, hope everyone stays safe. When I see the pic of the red pickup though, I keep seeing a "hold my beer" moment go through my head.

Get ready for another round of cold temps. In Chicago they are reporting Sunday's night time temps are to be around -1 and Mondays night 1 or so. This is going North East as usual.

And so it begins again. Looking at the forecast it shows 33 tonight for Caribou. Here in Minot the lowest I have seen so far was 47 but warming back up now. I guess Mother Nature just wants to give a taste of what's coming and she is alive and well. With all the wacky weather this year it should be interesting to see what comes. Even Flagstaff Az. is showing mid 30's near the end of the week and yesterday they were talking snow above 7k feet on the weather channel in the upper North West.
