Losing oil from breather tube.

Friend of mine at work has a 05. Truck runs great, not smoking, has only 78,000 miles. In 2,000 miles he is losing around 2 qts of oil. Been to 3 dealers.



Now get this



First dealer - sounds like a bad set of rings - lets get a new motor.



Second dealer - We replaced the oil filter, it was the wrong filter.



Third dealer - Your valves need to be adjusted. Adjusted valves - no change



Any ideas?



He doesnt tow, he's our tire man and an escort?

Are you sure it is losing 2 qts out the blowby tube? That's a lot to lose, if that's the case, it sounds like a severe case of blowby.

Heres my wild guess, take the intake tube off the turbo and check for a bad turbo oil seal.
