Losing the ring

Here I go again asking questions, just what does losing the ring out of the turbo do? how easy to do? where is it located? I like the sound of the whine with my straight pipe would this enhance it? Thanks in advance for all information supplied.

Pull off hose, pop out snap ring with a screwdriver, toss silencer ring like frizbee and enjoy.

You may want to keep the ring in a safe place just in case you wish to re-install it later. It can get pretty noisy if you add certain types of air filters\boxes. Can be annoying on long drives.
