Just had a VP44 installed last week. I was driving down the road yesterday, and under full accelleration, I heard a noise under the hood. Hard to describe since the radio and AC were on, but it may have had some "hiss" to it. Since then, I have lost alot of power. My boost guage shows I can't even hit 10 lbs. of boost now. It usually hits 20 lbs. When I accellerate, there is alot more black smoke than usual. I took the BHAF off, and everything looks OK from the outside looking in. Truck starts and idles fine. I am going to check codes when it warms up in a couple of hours. Any ideas on what the heck has happened now?

The shop that installed the VP44 neglected to tighten up one of the boots and it blew it off. Tightened in back up and all is good. Thanks for the help.

My blow out was more of a bang, and immediately blodded out the sun from 4 lanes of traffic. Oo.
