Well I went ahead and removed the performance program again and this time befor remov ing the program I scanned for codes and there was a p0602 comunication code? I have had these before but they normally set a Check engine light. They also put the ECM into limp mode. This time no check engine light but I think this was my trouble the whole time! This bullydog programmer is a little inconsistant with the way it posts codes?

By the way, with the rail cap the truck runs smoother then before the cap.

Thanks again for the posts and help.

Capped the rail last night per Reb. B instructions(thanks Reb. B at Brown's diesel)took all of ten minutes and I was down the road testing. Still have the problem. I watched the pressure this time the entire time I had the hammer down and never saw anything past 25K on the rail? I am pretty sure I've seen 28K there before. I was flogging it pretty hard but hits 25k for a second and then back to 20K or so. Does this seem right?

Thanks,

Bill

how did you see 28k?

Same problem here, I changed out the pressure relief valve,MAP sensor, IAT sensor, I have tried both Bully Dog on tow, also Smarty on #5. I was getting a P0251 Injection Pump Fuel Valve Feedback, Changed out the FCA. Cleared the code and it has not come back. In the mornings going to work 100km the truck is useless, driving all day then comming home it is fine. One day i tried the stock Dodge program in the ECM and it was embarrasing. Lots of light black smoke, no power at all.

2003 2500, 5. 9L, Airraid airbox, 90 hp injectors, Smarty.
