Its been bad but getting worse. I would warm the truck up and start driving it, it would shift really high and overrevving bad. Once it would go a little more it would change and shift somewhat normal but after about 30mph it would have no power, u could floor it and still nothing. I just straight piped it from the turbo to see if it was a plugged cat and that wasnt really the main problem but it helped a little. One thing I noticed is that when my boss that Im tryin to help was in the truck I had him rev it a little and even after it was well warmed up but not overheating at all it was just blowing white smoke!

If there is a thread all ready on here to help my problem I would appreciate anything, whether you respond or direct me to another thread. Thanks, its bad working for this guy driving his truck everyday and having it run like this, Im teying to help him for my sake mostly! :-laf

Timing or low fueling likely (low fuel pressure, restriction, plugged filter, air leak etc. ). White smoke can be an indication of retarded engine timing, maybe low to start with and has slipped over time?

You mentioned overrevving, like a run away? Then maybe pump troubles or the gov. rack sticking a bit.

Good luck,

Andy

BBS,

Has the rubber supply & return lines been changed? If you changed the rubber fuel lines be sure to use the the USCG approved fuel lines. Fuel filter changed lately? Screen cleaned?

Just some things to check out.
