Well here is the problem, While towing, only 8000#'s on I-64 outside of Beckley W VA on Sandstone with Edge Comp on 1,2, or 3 I get a sudden drop in RPM's from 2500 to 1500 and then it would bounce right back up to 2500, almost like I took my foot off the fuel petal. The truck seems to start surging just before the big defuel occurs, almost feels like the Torque converter is locking & unlocking, but it only happens when the Comp is on and the truck is under load. This doesn't happen at all when unloaded.
With the Comp turned off it doesn't happen but then the rig has no power and isn't fun to drive.
How do I determine if it is the Comp or the T/C or some thing else.
I installed a new Lift Pump thinking it was the problem, it was gone but it still does it with new pump.
Thanks TJ
