I'am at 53,000 miles and there was no magical jump in fuel mileage on mine either, slight maybe but no 3-4 miles per gallon. The engine sure seems to run alot smoother though, not as much engine knock as before 50,000.

All the tire pressures given you are from 2500 owners... so here is what I run empty... .

65 front 45 rear...

you will notice the difference in the steering by upping the pressure on your front tires... . I would say you are soft up front.

I also had a drop in mileage... 17. 5-18 new to 15. 5-16 after 40k

Have never found it... . maybe the wind deflector... but I tried all the electronic things I've heard of here... .

You think maybe it's the 400lbs of *rap I have in my tool box?#ad

No I haven't - but then again the stock tires were off my truck at mile 16. I run 315/75R16s. I've adjusted tire pressure to get an even contact patch on all the vehicles I've owned and I haven't had a tire fail. Of course I increase the pressure when I tow my 5th wheel because of the increased load.

I HAVE and it has different pressure settings for various loadings!

Brian, On another truck I had I installed 285/55 r 16 and the dealer could not calibrate the speedometer to compensate for the taller tire. I finally paced it with my wifes truck that I knew was correct. And it turned out I was actually travling 10 miles further every 100 miles than what my odometer read. This comes out to about one mile per gallon better than what the truck actually showed. But Iam sure you already took that into account.

On my truck the speedo/odo is off by ~5. 5% with the 315s. This was checked with my GPS and mileage markers in speedo calibration sections on I-5. 2000 RPM in 6th is 66 mph for my truck.

Just to stir the pot - I run my front tires at 35 psi & the rears at 30 psi when I'm unloaded. These pressures give me a good flat/complete contact patch FOR MY TIRES.
