Hi guys, I was draining the dead synthetic black stuff out of the beast this evening. I happened to look up at the bell housing vent and what to my eyes did appear? A bolt..... trapped inside, didn't appear to be ground up, appeared to be approx. 3/8 x 1 1/4 or a metric equivalent. Any guesses? I'm assuming pressure plate. Whadya think? I could do without removing the trans right now!! Thanks, Greg

Is your truck an auto or a manual?? Dumb question, but your sig dosent say...

Since his profile lists a 5-speed, I'm betting on a manual

Yeah his PROFILE not the SIG, smarta**, since we all look at the PROFILES before we make a response...

AND, since about the only bolts *I* can think of INSIDE the bellhousing of the approximate size indicated are for pressure plate attachment, I'm betting it's one of those...

Sorry I didn't mean to get everybody all riled up!!(lol) I thought just maybe someone would think up some really useless bolt that got dropped ocassionally during manufacture! Oh well, can't hurt asking! In want to replace the clutch soon anyway. I do need to change that signature by the way, I looks like I'm driving a first gen. , that isn't a bad thing in my opinion. Thanks for your help.
