lost another first gen

there isn't much left!

no seatbelt, no airbag, walked two miles home!

i got around to crawling around on it. the bellhousing is busted and my have screwed up my clutch. there is a slice in the oilpan. the transfer case looks good. axles were tore off truck so i doubt if they are straight. everything on truck i junk. maybe i can salveage my gauges from the interior, and all the little parts from under the hood.



unless someone has a really good body hammer and a gallon or two of bondo she is junk. :{

I can't believe what I am seeing- that thing is crushed totally!! Glad you can talk about it.

If you want to sell any parts(?) I am looking for a front hub,mine spun a bearing so bad that the wheel was held on mostly by the rotor.

Hey, glad to hear you came out O. k. I had a similar incident about 2 years ago. Went off the road and struck an embankment and went airborne into a telephone pole. That was in a 86 D250. Never had a seat belt on, only had a cut on my arm. Makes you realize how good these old trucks were really built!!!

found a replacement!

i found a 83 shortbox on dana 60 axles. truck is in parts, and has a 440/727/205 drivetrain. 4" spring lift and a 3"body lift on 38" swampers. would work very good in making a replacement mud racer, but i dunno how'd it work pulling. i will get some pics up when i get it home.
