Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Lost Boost and EGT's ????

i installed a new L/P and lost EGT's and Boost i was getting 40lb and now i get 35lb and the EGT wont go over 1000deg. with the box on level3x5

i will be installing a fp gage on the weekend but it sounds like it's fine

iam thinking wastgate or edge box,

anyone run into before???

If you lost boost and egts thats a fuel delivery issue. It takes fuel to make both so a fuel pressure test is in order. If it happened after the l/p install i would check there. Good luck. Hope you find the problem.

Thanks for the help iam going to install a FP gage on the weekend and see whats up with that

i called cummins and they will replace the LP it's only been in there for 4 days,

the org. LP lasted 95,000 miles

when that happened to me my exaust break was stuck on after I wired it open every thing cleared up. befor I found that, the dealer replaced the lift and injection pumps which did not clear up my no boost hi egt problem

it looks like i found the problem,

it's my comp box, Edge is sending me a new one, its only two months old i hope it wont happen all the time!

but on the good side Edge was great to deal with!

is the HX35 a 16cm housing?
