After reading MullenaxM P2262 revisited, went to the dealer this morn. -7-02-09 to get latest and greatest reflash. On the Technicians Detailed Explanation of Cause and Correction he wrote:

performed System test--Test reveled flash update all required



I even had a print out of the 2262 revisited with me and showed it to him. He seemed to think AS flash was older than BA Someone please help me out--these guys have been good to me so far and I really don't want to create waves but someone is as lost as I am. I did get the AU and AX flash long time ago--where should I be right now--PLEASE

AS was performed yesterday dated release about mid march 09 for my 08 6. 7 Mullinax /Athens tx dodge tech recomended recomemnded PCM flash "AS"



PCM # 62350435 this is right off the new hood sticker on tuesday 6/30/09



for regen issues my dealer completed on monday all is well



Asking Mullinax about "BA" flash ?. Ive got some emails out on this to clarify now.

BA flash is newer than AS. It's an alphabetical progression and goes from AZ to BA.

I get that order of progression but,

So i just went and got this PCM Flash done on monday and the tech said ecm "AS" #PCM 62350435 update is current for this model and the next one is due in oct.



my truck shipped with AB , first flashed it was 9 flashes back around the first CEL , 2 nd cel to AR then jumped from AR dated mar 06 09 to AS issued in mid march 09 thru to z by jul 2nd to "BA" for 08 trucks in 2 days ?:confused:



What does "BA" PCM flash address and to which specific 6. 7 model years /configs ,would it correlate to the 2009 model year only ?

There is a different flash part number for the C & C trucks that was also released at this time. Im a little confused and have some emails out to clarify this .

Your 07. 5 Truck should have the "BA", He was correct in telling you that the "AS" flash is a old flash, The 07. 5 Trucks have evolved way passed the "AS" flash and are now at the "BA" level. The Bootloader that he said he installed should have already been installed back at the "AT" flash. If he installed the "BA" calibration then you have the "Latest and Greatest" flash/calibration for a 2007. 5 Pick-up.



The 2008 pick-ups are now at The "AS" flash/Calibration.



I know it's a little confusing but you are now the proud owner of the latest and greatest Calibration for your Pick-up!!



Now for the good/bad News (depends on how you look at it) I hear There's a new flash coming and I think it will be long before october. I haven't found out what's in it yet.

just FYI where are the 2009 models ECM flashes at, in the alphabetical potpourri now ?

are they beginning with a "C" ?



guess now we need a breakout of all these from day one for each production run/year/application to date. gotta be a chart on this some where.



And now a new flash forthcoming for 08 models again ? guess i need to get my coffee mug to hang up in the dodge breakroom and bring some doughnuts .

geez can't they sell a wireless lan card and when the truck is near a hot spot it'll just download the newest sorta like windows on your computer, let it install the update and you get out then open/close the hood and it is good ta go :-laf

FLASH sticker?

I keep hearing about the sticker the dealer is supposed to put under the hood when an update is accomplished. Still can't find one and the dealer gives me a strange look when I ask about it. Where SHOULD it be, and how can I encourage the dealer to put one there?

PCM/ ECM FLASH Sticker





Mystery PCM sticker some dealers are aware of it most are not. Dealer is supposed to install this upon flash completion. I had to ask for it too.



Here is the PCM update Label # info from my latest Dodge invoice for the PCM Update: PN# 42745086-AB Description: LABEL GEN 14086100



This sticker was put on the bottom left side of the hood to denote the current PCM/ECM software flash for my 08 6. 7 2500 Auto, this was done on june 09.



It has the dealer number, who installed the update, mechanics initials,date and Part number of the installed dealer software flash "AS".
